Demi and Jade enjoyed hot chocolate with Mr Quinn today to thank them for their excellent behaviour. Demi responded unselfishly when the fire alarm sounded last week. Knowing that another pupil was new to the school and country and wouldn’t understand what was happening, she quickly collected her from the sand area and led her outside to the meeting point. Jade has been a superstar during her first week of Read, Write, Inc, as well as always behaving fantastically in class. Well done girls!
Miss Goodhew delivered an exciting boxing session to pupils in Y6 yesterday. The children enjoyed a vigorous workout with gloves and pads, pairing up to practise jabs, crosses and upercuts. By the end of the session, all the children were exhausted and many were soaked in sweat from their exertions.
Mr Quinn’s office was packed with excitable children this afternoon! Memphis was nominated for helping Nursery children settle in; Naomi and Elizabeth are moving on to a new school so came for a final treat; the remainder of the children had behaved exceptionally well at a dance rehearsal earlier in the week. They are all super bunch of pupils who behave fantastically well!
Mohammed and Ahmed only joined our school recently from Sudan but have proven to be the most fabulous additions. They are enthusiastic, eager to learn and demonstrate great behaviour. The boys were nominated for Hot Chocolate Friday because of their willingness to help out at breakfast club every day. Without being asked, they help clear the tables, sweep the floor and put away the tables. Fabulous work boys!
On Monday 18th December Beech Primary Years 3 to 6 and Luck Lane Primary Year 3, took part in their first annual carol service, at St Mark’s Church, Longwood.
Beautiful voices were heard, and the spirit of Christmas was all around!
